Try out this braised pork knuckles recipe if you are bored of the traditional soup! The flavorful gravy sauce and seared pork will goes extremely well over steamed rice.
2 liters of water
1 whole pork knuckle
3 - 5 pieces of whole garlic
1 tea spoon of black soya sauce
1 GOZU herbal pack
Boil and blanch pork knuckle for 30 sec. Remove and drain.
Boil 2 liters of water in a pot add in GOZU herbal recipe and 3-5 whole unpeeled garlic to boil for 35-45 minutes on low heat.
Heat up another wok with cooking oil; stir fry the pork knuckle， Add 2 table spoon of soya sauce, add in few spoon of black sauce for darken color purposes. ( depends on how dark the pork you want ) and continue to fry it for 1 minutes.
Add in the boiling herbal soup and garlic into pork knuckle with GOZU secret spices added into it and reduce heat simmer and boil for 1 hour.
